Acquaintance Rape – Trust taken For-Granted

A rape that is perpetrated by a person who is known and familiar with the victim is known as acquaintance rape. In most instances, acquaintances of the victim are someone he/she is dating, co-worker, classmate, teacher, family member, therapist, spouse, etc. Most studies show that about 60% and 80% of all reported rape cases are acquaintance rapes. Acquaintance Rape and any other form of Sexual Assault is a Criminal Offence.
